GEA joins OPM for annual Safety and Health Walk  

The GEA joined the Office of the Prime Minister – Guyana (OPM) contingent this morning to participate in the annual Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Walk 2025. The event, organised by the Ministry of Labour in observance of OSH Day on April 28, saw the participation of scores of patrons representing various organizations and institutions from across different local sectors.

This year’s global theme, ‘Revolutionizing Health and Safety: the role of AI and digitalization at work’, highlights that the range of regulations, and policies governing work operations are not only designed to ensure safe and conducive work environments for employees, but also recognize the crucial role of modern artificial intelligence (AI), automated systems, and digital technologies.

These innovations are now integral to fostering a proactive culture focused on safeguarding the welfare of all employees at the local, regional and international levels.
