Section of the 1.5-MW Kumu Hydropower Plant in Lethem, Region Nine (Upper Takutu-Upper Essequibo)

 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟗 

This World Environment Day, June 5, 2025, at 13:55h, all diesel sets are turned off at the Lethem Power Company, Region 9. 

Consumers are enjoying clean, renewable hydro power from the 1.5 MW Kumu and 0.7MW Moco-Moco Hydropower Plants.
