The Guyana Energy Agency (GEA) was thrilled to participate as an exhibitor at the AMCHAM/GMSA 2026 Technology Conference, held on January 29, at the Guyana Marriott Hotel.
The event was hosted under the theme ‘Operational Excellence through Digital Transformation’, and provided a platform for the Government, private sector, experts, and other stakeholders to engage in meaningful discussions and presentations on the digital revolution shaping workforces and economies, as well as the need to adapt and evolve alongside the ongoing digital transformation and technological advancements at the local and global levels.
The GEA team shared insights into the Agency’s operations, particularly how automated and digitised systems and tools are assisting in improving operational efficiency across the Divisions. The team was also pleased to showcase the LSX 3500, a digitised upgrade of the LSX 1000 fuel-marking system, which supports the detection of fuel manipulation by identifying the presence of Authentix fuel markers and safeguards fuel authenticity and integrity.
Prime Minister, Brigadier (Ret’d) the Honourable Mark Phillips, who holds responsibility for the information and communications sector (ICT), delivered the keynote address at the event, emphasising how the Government’s digital transformation agenda that is modernising services public services, enhancing operational efficiency and transforming the digital and connectivity landscape across the country.
