Through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures, specified in the Procurement Act 2003, The Guyana Energy Agency invites eligible bidders to submit their sealed bids for the following:

Electrification of one (1) isolated remote village in the Hinterland through Solar Photovoltaic Energy 

This solar photovoltaic (PV) micro-grid project is supported by Euroclima and as part of the Global Gateway Strategy fosters partnerships between the European Union (EU) and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) to advance a green and just transition.  It is cofinanced by the EU and the Federal Government of Germany through the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH serves as the Implementing Agency to support this activity in Guyana.

Interested bidders may obtain the Standard Bid Solicitation Documents (SBSD) from the cashier at the Guyana Energy Agency, 295 Quamina Street, South Cummingsburg, Georgetown, from Monday to Friday between 09:00 to 15:30 hours, for a non-refundable fee of two thousand Guyana dollars (G$2000) each. Alternatively, an electronic copy of the Bid Documents can be downloaded at www.gea.gov.gy  at no cost.

The Chairman, National Procurement & Tender Administration Board (NPTAB), Main & Urquhart Streets, Georgetown and must be submitted no later than 9:00 hours on November 25th , 2025.
